5. God is Dog

Last night i had a strange dream

i was lying on an altar

as the son of abraham

on my right was God 

who called me Isaac

on my left was Allah

who called me Ishmael

they gazed upon me

like a necromaniac

so you an atheist

God made a wisecrack 

then he barked like a dog

i looked at Allah

he was growling too
The dream was gone

i was back on

my couch where i dozed off

but i can still hear the barking 

I look through my windowpane

below the streetlight

two dogs were in a fight

over a dead pigeon’s remain.
